Having noticed several instances of butterfly images in photos [Linked Image from metawake.info], I meant to eventually make a post about this, but today is the day for it, since I just noticed a butterfly image in the pool webcam.

Can you see them, or shall I highlight? [Linked Image from metawake.info],

I see the butterfly image you are referring to in all 3 shots. [Linked Image from i167.photobucket.com]
But, I also see the 'people' that are making up the images.

What does a butterfly symbolise to you?

As for the images, I chalk it up to layers because I do also see other beings as well, but it was the butterflies that grabbed me (if you can picture a butterfly grabbing someone). blink chuckle

The butterfly image symbolizes "the mother" to me. It was a spirit message relayed to me at several points along my merry path. And though "the mother" is quite a general title, as it has every right to be, it also is specific to me in meaning something akin to "the goddess". [Linked Image from metawake.info]

I can imagine a lot! If giant spiders can walk in and out of the pool, then butterflies can grab!!

I always find the symbology of things interesting. Everyone has their own personal slant on things.

The butterfly for me symbolises change, freedom, light and air, but, there is a poignant sadness also, because the butterfly does not last for long. Which then means, if you don't take the chance, the change - you may miss out.

I have noticed a winged entity in some of my photos that has a human-like face and butterfly wings. Mostly noticeable is the face here below.

There is a flower centered on and beneath the chin of the face (which I did not tint to highlight). This tells me that Green Man has played a part. I have not highlighted the wings either. This is one strong bit of spirit here as I see dozens of faces and images overlapping. There are also symbols in here as well. A very full photo to my eye.

I have come to believe that the flower Green Man wears is symbolic of the sweetness and beauty of life against the harshness of survival, and that the flower actually symbolizes the mother (compassion and beauty) that balances the power of the father. twocents

The last butterfly man image is my favorite of all time, excellent.
However are you sure its not a dragon perched on your fence with a little person riding it? I'll PM you my interp.

Thanks, starchie. cheerful

And thanks for the dragon interpretation. It is really fantastic (let me know if it's okay to post it). A few years ago while examining a brightened night photo of orbs, I could see a dragon in it with a little being riding atop. So this jibes with me.

Personally, I see so many layers of things. And it is layers with one being right on top of another so that sometimes it is difficult to separate them out. And that was the deal with the wings of this butterfly man image I saw. The wings seemed small and yet large at the same time. Also, I see little wee beings all around the edges as if they are looking up at the smiling face. I could spend hours looking at this and seeing something different.

So yes, I do think that it is a dragon with a little person atop it. I believe that this entity has many forms and they all exist together, layered.

Interestingly, I took this dragon/butterfly photo seconds after this one:

And I felt this was laid-out, presented in the physical for me to see by this butterfly man, to be totally honest (going with my intuition winking). And then to be further open and honest with my intuition/conjecture, I think that the butterfly man is once again one of the many facets of Green Man.

I also think Green Man purposefully put out this leaf for me to find (there was not one like it in anyway anywhere else when I found it) and it is in "his" colours green/red:

[Linked Image from metawake.info]

Actually, it would be much shorter to list the things I have experienced that I think Green Man is not responsible for. patty

I personally think butterflies are a universal symbol for beauty, delicacy, and freedom. What else do you think about, when you see such a gentle creature flutter past?

Well put, OMJ! cheerful

I think the butterfly is a similar symbol to the flower [Linked Image from metawake.info] , both of which I see etched into the spirit matter of my photos. They are delicate, as you said, and beautiful, in contrast to the harshness of life. We need the harsh challenges to grow, but we equally need the reward of beauty for balance.

And the freedom the butterfly represents... the sweetest reward. cake
