Boo. Recently, I've been having more dreams with my girlfriend in. Granted it is a long distance (I'm English, and she lives in Florida D;) But, we're happier then we would be with pretty much anyone else. Anyway! I recently has this dream, which I wrote in my meaningful-dreams journal: I was at my fathers – but, reality was very still – empty – there was no cars, no people, apart from Angel. The word was lacking in colour to a degree – and, there was no feeling. It was all very numb. Angel was on a laptop in my fathers living room, on MSN, and, I was on a laptop outside the house, facing it, sitting on the curb, also on MSN. There was no wind, or anyone. Though, people were online on MSN. I was talking to a friend, who, spoke of a chastity belt – and went on to tell me that she makes her boyfriend wear one, so they can chase each other around the house, to help him ‘tell when she’s tired’. After she called me silly, I told her I was going to block her, and did so, after she said goodbye. I then got up, the laptop apparently ceasing to exist, and entered the house. Angel wasn’t there any more, so, I went into the kitchen, and as I knelt to look in the fridge, I saw a pair of legs beside me. As I stood, my auntie was there, who handed me a toasted spam salad sandwich, and said, “There. The most spam for a salad.”
Though, she didn’t talk.. The words just appeared.. like they had been spoken, but never spoke. As if she spoke in the past, or, spoke via telepathy.
After I thanked her after the same means, the dream ended.
In the dream, I remember clippits of passing Angel - but we never spoke, or even made eye contact. It was as if the world was too depressing to want to talk. I think I know what the dream meant, after thinking about it for a while, though.. I know it hasn't got much to do with my girlfriend - but, it's true. I have been dreaming of her more often. Which, is good. Or so I think, at least.

That was an amazing dream! I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing! I'd love to know your interpretation of it. I believe the dreamer holds the most accurate keys to their dreams. I also find with myself that my dreams "ripen" after I've recorded them and some time passes. It's like the blanks start to fill in and the meaning starts to seep out. I do love dreams and I am impressed you write your most meaningful dreams down. For me, dream recording has been a major tool in my overall development (and psychic stuff, too). If I didn't record my dreams I'd forget a lot of the details and I'd forget some dreams all together. But with a record of them, I can sort through them by topic and find the most interesting recurring patterns. And thanks to the patterns, I've found in my dreams that if the setting is my mother's house, it is the female aspect of me that I need to note. And if it's set at my fathers, it is my male aspect. At times the setting is overlaid onto either of my parents' houses so that I might be at the beach, but yet I know it is also my dad's house at the same time. Strange but meaningful to me. I also know that any sort of building/house is really exploration of my inner self. In some of my dreams I have even look up while inside a tall building to see giant X's which I later realized were symbolically (or maybe literally ) chromosomes. But anyway... In your dream you start off saying you are at your fathers, so for me if it were my dream, that would mean I'd be about to explore the male aspect of myself. If this has any validity in your dream, then your girlfriend (Angel ) might be the only person who you allow into your inner male self, or that you relate to in that way. Though you don't make direct eye contact and you find it depressing, so even she is allowed limited access. This male aspect of yourself you find less emotional, not colourful, and numb. And interesting that you are sitting outside the house. Maybe this means that you need to work on embracing your inner male, or maybe it means this is how you see yourself from the outside. There is no one outside of you either, not even a breeze, but you could still interact with others in a less personl way through MSN. I overall get the idea of this part of you being very guarded what with talk of a male wearing a chastity belt and then the female calling you silly which hurt you and made you block her. And then after this episode, Angel was now gone from inside which may indicate that you are blocking the female from coming in altogether, especially if you receive any kind of slight or hurt. But then your auntie showing up with the spam salad sandwich (love that part ) maybe is some sort of allowance for a female to get into your heart if they are a safe mother-type figure who brings you the comfort of food. Still, I'd love to know what it all means to you! Thanks for sharing, OMJ. It inspires me. Love ya!

It's all very interesting.
I have an idea about it...
I think it's possible that you seeing yourself at your father's house is a representation of you being at "home".
Given that your girlfriend lives in the US and you live in the UK, I think you talk on MSN a lot to keep your relationship going... Her being in your home and not talking to you is not the way she would normally communicate with you... She would communicate with you most of the time on MSN. So being silent in your home is the representation of this.
(I may not be accurate about the MSN communication between you both).
The chastity belt is a key image... This is a representation of the ocean that separates the US from the UK... Distance - impossible to easily penetrate.
It's not so much a sexual thing, but a representation of the physical separation.

LOL
I rip dreams to shreds - even my own. I love to dig deep and try and work out exactly what the meaning behind them was.
But I must admit it's harder to try and pinpoint what a dream means when the finer details about the person's life are not known.
For all I know OMJ and his girlfriend never talk on MSN at all and they have massive phone bills!

I, too, dig deep into decrypting my dreams. I feel I have a basic decoding done now. I have always dreamed vividly, but the more I have focused on my dreams these last 4 years, the more detailed and logical they've become. Dreams are as important to me as my waking reality, virtually.

I rarely dream these days. I had a lot of dreams after the death of my husband after his accident rarely a dream since.
No doubt I do dream though.
My dreams that I had been having about my husband were extremely interesting. I worked out that the main theme of the dreams was the brand new physical separation. Even in wanting to kiss or touch in the dream, it was impossible in reality so would not occur in subconscious.

Oh that is interesting. My mother died last year. Shortly afterward, if I dreamed of her, within the dream I would know she was dead. Or she would not be in my dreams and I would know it was because she was dead. I felt the separation of her from my physical life even in my dreams.

Yes, exactly.
There is a "barrier" in the subconscious when the person is no longer in the physical.

As we wake from sleep we interrupt the brains processing of information while it is filing our experiences into the long and short memory banks. If the subconscious is a little slow waking up we end up caught in the middle of the dream and reality. When we finally are fully awake we try and analyse what we were dreaming and all sorts of interpretations can be applied. Trouble is we are dreaming so much and remembering very little.

Yes, that is very true too.
I know that my dreams follow no sequence - they are just random bits and pieces that blend together to form one thing.
I can't tell a story with my dreams. They're too segmented.

My dreams used to be fragmented and surreal (with a few exceptions). But when I chose to concentrate on them and record them they began to make more and more linear sense. I believe that part of me "goes" somewhere when I sleep and that dreams are fragments of what I learn while I am "there" that I bring back to consciousness and my consciousness tries to translate this multidimensional info into current dimension (is it considered 3-D?). The more I analyze my dreams the more I start to know the places I go to are specific and I go to them sometimes once every 10 years (given what I remember of it) or more frequently like once a month or week. There are patterns that I would not have noticed without detailed journalling. But then, dreaming/journalling is a hobby/passion for me.

Most of my dreams ARE an impact of what mischief I have been up to during the day... I can look at what was in my dream and know where a lot of it came from.
But there are often a few key points in my dreams that make no sense.
I find that if I am going to have a dream that contains information or an omen or something, it will be obvious to me when I wake up in the morning.
Otherwise, it's just my usual screwball dream. LOL
Most of my "important information" comes to me when I'm awake - so I suppose that this is the reason why I don't get any while dreaming... It's not the "way" for me.

Sometime my dreams are in part a reflection of earlier in my day, a movie I've recently seen, or someone I ran into that day, etc....but sometimes my dreams reflect a movie I will see the next day, or someone I bump into the next day, etc. It is a strange concept, but I have come to believe that though what I dream can reflect the days before or the days after I dream it, it is the world which I visit when I dream (a larger reality in which my soul is entirely conscious) that dictates what happens in this reality. And that reality exists outside of time so that past present and future coexist. Tis a large pill to swallow though. So I swallowed it slowly over the past few years.

Oh yes... I hear that.
A couple of months ago I played "The House of the Dead" on the Wii with my son.
That night I was having a dream about being attacked by zombies.
Charming stuff.
I believe that how we get our "messages" impacts on how we dream.
If we are the type of person, like myself, who will get a message during the day - we won't get messages during dreams so much... It's not the way our messengers communicate with us.
Whereas, there are others who get messages during their dreams but who get nothing during the day.

Good point! House of the Dead! I've always had this crazy (irrational ) fear of zombies. I don't envy your dream experience that night! I would not like to think what type of dreams that would conjure for me either.

In that particular dream, there was this master vampire thingy. His whole aim was to get me... So he was biting everyone to create his minions and they were all after me and others who were still "human" - but mainly after me.
This main dude caught me twice I think - but I got free and was never bitten.
Hmm, I can throw a good punch in my dreams!! LOL

At the moment I've got a heights issue in dreams... That dream that I couldn't recall all of yesterday involved some nasty heights and I had another dream today which also involved heights.

TVSAT, spider (in my dreams at least) represent my fears. I believe I create them in a layer of reality when I am experiencing great anxiety. Several times over the years when I am sleeping at night, and when I am close to waking up, I see my bedroom as it is, but I will see a spider descending on a filament of silk right above me. Quite frequently these spiders are as large as a baseball. Here's an example: I thought I was fully awake, but I was just in a layer very close to consciousness when I noted with full terror at the end of my bed was an enormous spider. I woke my husband with a scream and pleaded with him to do something about this spider. He woke with a start and said, "What, there is no spider, where?" And I squealed, "The spider at the end of the bed!!" He repeats he sees no spider and I say, "It's as big as a cat!" At which point he chuckles and says, "You are just dreaming." But unlike other "dream" things, I would still feel these spiders to be there even when fully conscious for minutes. And sometimes I would make myself stay awake for a while because I just knew if I fell right back to sleep I'd see them still there. Flux...mmmmm feathery marshmellows! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.metawake.info/images/graemlins/chewing.gif) DocSniper, that sounds like torture...worse than spiders.
