It may look like a couple is romantically embracing beside a bunch of Christmas presents in the image’s thumbnail.

Single college student John Olmstead decided to poke fun at the romantic holiday card genre after seeing a similar spoof online, reports BuzzFeed.

“I thought it was hilarious, so I wanted to do it, but my arms are too skinny to look like legs,” the 22-year-old from Mattoon, Illinois, told Mashable. “So, I had to improvise and shove my feet into those tiny boots.”

He posted the photograph to Twitter on Wednesday, and it’s since garnered more than 90,000 likes and almost 50,000 retweets.

Many fellow Twitter users admitted that Olmstead’s parody struck a chord:
