While wondering around at the markets my eye caught a red flash coming from one of those stalls that sells crystals. I walked over and picked up the stone emanating the red colour and asked the lady what it was to which she replied ‘It’s an Ammonite’ Oh I said never heard of it and just bought it because I liked it. It just felt good when I held it. When I got home I looked it up and it was fascinating reading for me and thought to share…
What a beautiful stone/fossil! It looks so glossy, cool and hold-able! I love the red and blue streaks in it that look like flames. It makes me think of fire and ice (what a balancing concept). I can see why this called out to you.
There are so many synchs for me with this piece (even though it is yours ). Such as its name originating from the "horns of Ammon" because the Egyptian god Ammon (Amun) was typically depicted wearing ram's horns. Horns are so important in my world from the Egyptian goddess Hathor (and Bat)
to the ancient horned gods (Pan, Baphomet, Cernunnos...)
. . .
to me...Aries!
And more importantly, the golden spiral (of sacred geometry)!
Its so wonderful how all this stuff associates and opens up gateways to more and more. Like being at the centre of the sacred golden spiral and working your way out..!! I'm so glad to be part of its 400 million year journey.
