Oh wow, I love it when someone sees Jesus's image in something! And thanks for sending me heads-up once again dawn! Someone commented on this "Looks like a pissed off dude, to me." To me it also looked like an angry face. Still, I believe in all of these things. There's something there IMO whether it is Jesus, etc. There is so much spirit in wood. The wooden doors in my house are like windows into another realm. I gaze into them all the time.

It's definitely an interesting situation with the door. It looks like a face to me too. I believe trees are full of memories, history and spirit. I think wood grain is a beautiful medium for an expression of their life.

Well put, Dawn. Wood is amazing! Do you have any wood in your house that has an image in it?

If it isn't oak, it ain't allowed in my house. lol My husband is an oak-wood fancier in that manner. He's also quite an accomplished carpenter and has added or made most of the wood cabinets, shelves, curio cabinets and things in our house. Thankfully, None of the wooden pieces has an image on it (that I know of) I'm a spooky sort and if it were an image of anything less than cute, I'd have my husband remove it toot-sweet.

You'd hate my closet doors. I see a giant, hooded, winged being in there with a fierce face! And wolves are all over in my wood, too (to my eye, mind you). But I am immediately (what's the word for jealous that isn't negative ) that your husband is a carpenter (ooo, what a sync that he's a carpenter given this topic)! To have beautiful, personally hand-crafted oak pieces would be heavenly! Places to put all the cute dot-eyed bunnies in jackets!! I'd love to see any piece if you have a photo handy to attach.

I doubt I'd hate your doors, but I may be uneasy around them. "giant, hooded, winged being in there with a fierce face" Wolves wouldn't bother me... I don't think... I'll try and get some pictures on the next bright sunny day... My camera takes horrendous indoor pictures and I need all the light I can get to help it take a better picture. It's sad... I love my camera except for that one fault of it being so low light sensitive.

It is a little unnerving sometimes, seeing the faces as I do. I also see them in the white tiles of my bathroom and basically anywhere there is the slightest pattern. If I am "on" or in the zone, especially at dusk and thereafter, I will see very particular entities that I relate to "the father" or male energy. One I see on the closet is Odin (I was given that name and looked it up to find it is a Norse male god). He is visible when light shines on the closet door. Sometimes it is the leprechaun I see. He is formed from the hallway light shining on the wooden door to my bedroom. Maybe the hooded one is like the hooded photo being I captured. I digress again. Anyway, I'll look forward to any photos you can capture of your oakies. Maybe one of the father types will shed a ray of light indoors for your camera. I just had to grasp at saying something clever and punny.

Wow, you both make me so excited!
I really doubt I'd hate your doors Alisa!
And Dawn, to me the face seems to me to have a look of solice & wisdom behind it. Jesus? I'm not sure, but definately to me a wise old soul! Thank you loved it!
Bless,
-Jaime-

Alisa, you have great perception for seeing images in so many things. The busiest place in my home that I see faces and such is in our floor tiles. (That's probably why I picked them out to begin with. Reckon? ) The patterns are marvelous for faces and the curious thing is that I've rarely seen the same face twice. In the picture that you posted, the figurehead I see, seems to be sort of like a soldier wearing a helmet, peeking out amongst the trees. It's a really interesting photo. Cool! Jaime, It's an interesting face to be sure. I think you may be right about the expression of solace and wisdom.

Ah, the floor tiles. Yep, I reckon. Ooo, you see a solider in the photo! People see different things in it. I'm more and more open to the idea that spirit appears in non-form and what we see is the thing we can relate to for whatever reason. The more I know, the more I realize I don't know.

Reminds me of a joke that I heard from an art teacher once. Okay, this guy goes to see a psychiatrist who starts by saying he'd like to get an idea about his client's mind by giving him a little test. The psychiatrist drew a straight line on a piece of paper and asked, "What do you see in this?" The man said, "A person standing naked." The psychiatrist drew two vertical parallel lines and asked, "What do you see in this?" The man said, "Two people taking off their clothes." The psychiatrist drew two horizontal parallel lines and asked, "What do you see in this?" The man said, "Two people having sex. The psychiatrist said, "I think I have some insight into you now, you seem to be obsessed with sex," to which the man said, "Hey Doc, you're the one drawing the dirty pictures!"

Oh good!! I'm glad it gave you a giggle! I wish I had a memory for jokes, cuz I don't, but that one sticks as it does tickle my funny bone. Oh man! Was that joke on "What About Bob?" I LOVED that movie and watched it numerous times. Maybe that helped cement the joke in my mind though I can't remember it from the movie for some silly reason!
