I read a neat blog post that contained 4 or 5 accounts of modern sightings and encounters of nature folks here in the USA. I was so impressed how the blog-writer reported the stories in a mostly respectful manner. It was also nice to read accounts that I haven't ever read before. The info and personal stories are so rarely reported now-a-days that it's mostly tough to find reports that isn't just a rehash of older ones.

With reports of modern sightings & encounters like these it really makes me wonder how some folks can still be so adament against the possibilty of tiny peoples living just beyond our sight.

If you get a few minutes and want to read some interesting modern accounts in the USA then this set of stories may be of interest to you.

Don't let the first account turn you away, keep reading because the rest of the other accounts he/she reports there really isn't a question as to what the beings were... smile

Wow Dawn,

Thanks for the great read! Looks like you & I definately surf the same stuff, as I've said before! Usually Gnomes & fairies are the first things I look for online, to see if there is anything new out there. As you said earlier, it IS very hard to find new stories & encounters w/gnomes, so I am always checking!

I don't agree with the person in the article that said that the Argentenian Gnome would be more believable if found in it's more 'known' places to roam. I believe that they are everywhere, but they show up the most where people really have a strong belief of them like Ireland, Germany etc. I would be hard for me to believe that in their demension, that they consider laylines. I think that they are capable of beeing seen just about anywhere, since I believe that they exist just about anywhere!

I also believe the story from Argentina because it is the most real dipiction of a gnome to me. To some it looked creepy, but to me it looked authentic. And that walk, it has always been said, although it is not super general information, that these creatures walk w/somewhat a sideways shuffle. I remember my German grandfather speaking of this little shuffle, but it's not a known trait that is very commonly discussed. But I remember my Grandpa speaking of it, he used to buy me German Gnome books when I was a child. Sitting on his lap we would look & read & discuss what wonderful little creatures these fellas were. I think he believed in them, & if it weren't for him I probably wouldn't believe in them as I do! That walk though is what sealed the deal for me with the Argentinian Gnome...I've known of it since I was a child, just never heard it in an actual gnome encounter before.

My favorite Gnome siting is so impressive! I have it saved in my favoriyes & I will post it at the end of this post. This one seems real to me too. If you notice, he seems to have the shuffle as well. Also notice that although this creature looks to be the size of a toddler, it sure doesn't move like a toddler! It's way more agile than a child that small could be!

I now have 5 gnomes, 3 that sit on my porch, & 2 that crawl out of things (like a tea cup,or planter)that my daughter bought me in Frankenmuth for mothers day. I love all my gnomes,& one day I intend to leave them little gifts so that they know that thier presence is welcome here. Legend says that if gifted & treated, they will eventually really appear to a person who has a statue or nic nac. I've read that they love sweets! I think tonight I'll leave one of the peanutbutter cookies that I baked last night at his feet, maybe soon I'll catch a glimpse of a real gnome!!!

Thank you Dawn, I do love reading about these little creatures so much! Enjoy the clip of my favorite Gnome siting!=0)

Great topic, Dawn! Thanks for sharing and for the link! highfive Sorry if I take this topic in a strange direction.

I was very interested also in the little video clip, Jaime, and of your verification of this sideways walk. Wow!

I know there are varying beliefs here and some people are trying to study wee folk through physical and scientific/logic methods. And good on 'em if they can gather that type of evidence. It is truly thrilling. Personally, I am moving ever further away from analyzing physicality and am jumping into the deep waters of pure belief, faith and knowing. In fact, last night as I drifted in the wee hours I thought about my photos, and if I should take some more and keep finding spirit in them and a voice spoke up within me and said, "She continues to look for evidence." And I knew (more) what was meant by that statement, that I have found soo much spirit in photos and have seen them in my mind's eye and even now with what might be my physical eyes (hard to tell where one starts and another ends, but anyway). I have dreamed of them and chatted with them in my meditations. And so I can continue to seek evidence or move on. And for me personally, I have reached that point of critical mass where I no longer have the drive to find evidence and I know now I must just go with it and begin swimming so to speak. That to begin to interact with them, if that is God's will, is to stop contemplating their existence.

This is totally a personal point for me and this thread was just a good place to state my mind and add it as a perspective/POV. I have loved, loved, loved taking my photos, finding spirit in them, learning about the wee folks through my meditative states, reading books about people's experiences with them, etc. It has been the most fun I've ever had. But now I feel I have come to the end of that particular part of my journey and I'm now interested in what will come next.

Looking over my journal of dreams and experiences I see that leprechauns featured frequently. I have dreamed that I was one, that they are an ancient race and that they are a part of me. Perhaps most humorous is the idea that one of them is always around me, looking after me, and insists we are married and that he allows me to be married to my husband of this lifetime. chuckle I believe him. dunno

Here's a little example from my journal:

Wednesday 09 Jan 08

I had interactions with a leprechaun last night, but the memories are just on the boarder of my consciousness. I just have collage memories of hats and green colour, and clovers, and leprechaun-like. Then as he left (at 3:30) he made a big spirit BOOM on the floor beside my bed, probably to leave an impact for my consciousness to anchor to.

I woke in the night suddenly feeling bad about my post. scaredtwitch I pray I did not offend anyone seeking evidence of anything especially wee folk! omg Because reaching out to these beings has been amongst the greatest and most exciting of all my pursuits! And I remain highly interested and doubt I will ever give up looking for them because it remains so compelling, though I may change my tact sometimes. I also continue to very much enjoy reading about other people's encounters. In my top five fav books is "Summer with the Leprechauns" by Tanis Helliwell.

Anyway, not sure if I picked up on someone's thoughts or my own doubts or what, but just in case, I wanted to assert my belief that it is ALL good and I remain interested in all findings! And I love those that love the littlies!

Hey Alisa I love the way you said …”I no longer have the drive to find evidence and I know now I must just go with it” in your post.

That is exactly how I feel as well and I believe by giving them the opportunity and choice of communicating will in itself not only be the end of that particular part of your journey but the beginning of what will path will come next.

Great Reading…Thanks Dawn

Thank you, Flux! cheerful I appreciate that so much. It is a turning point for me now to let go of a little bit of control. I documented everything for so long and it has been so magnificent. And while there is a definite sense of relief and a great freeing up of time in letting this go, it is surprisingly hard at times. So thank you very, very much for your vote of confidence.

Oh, and it was in large part thanks to your help and support through that long trying and somewhat dark period I had to travel through that I have come into a brighter, interesting new place. So thanks for that, too, pal! tiphat
