If anyone needs one I have a lend of one and have taken photographs of it. Is this copyright violation? It's old and out of print so what the heck?
So contact me at luthier@lizzy.com.au and I'll send you a CD of this manual.
I'm assuming a small number of responses but if I get a lot I'll be calling for postage but no other charge.
Someone was already so kind as to send me a parts list this way.
The idea of this type of forum is to help each other right?
I'm assuming this forum is free from viruses and stuff.
Cheers.

Located in the upper Hunter in NSW. I specialize in concert classicals but will be branching out into steel strings again soon. I have some development ideas for them, based on my classical work. Made electrics for years in the 70's, later lutes and mandolins. Much restoration of old and fine instruments, countless Martins and Gibsons and Fenders and all the rest, including many of the classical greats such as Hauser,Rominillos,Fleta, Rubio, Archangel Fernandez,Estesso, Early Ramirez etc. www.kellawayguitars.comDoes that equate to blatant self promotion?

chris @ bond is also known as friday403 and his email is candrews@staff.bond.edu.au.
He doesn't get out much - three reasonably young daughters put a stop to that - but he is very interested in how to make his 403 go faster ....

Nah! Not self promotion, just educating the public My god there's some beautiful work there - and beautiful cuts of wood! I'm perhaps showing my ignorance here [embarrassed], but I guess I just assumed that straighter grains would resonate better? With your permission, I might forward your site to some friends who also partake in the enjoyment of guitar porn! I have an amazing 1960 hand carved Levin archtop in need of repair, but I fear that (aside from the fact that you live a Loooong way away) I probably couldn't afford your level of work! Very impressed

Thanks for the praise folks. Binky, you are kind of right but the straight grain is only required on the soundboard. Yes pass on my website by all means. It's public property. My son uses a nice old Jumbo Levin that has been patched many times and has a really sweet tone. But on stage he mostly uses an electric I made in the seventies. Here's one of his links: http://www.triplejunearthed.com/artists/View.aspx?artistID=37439I should add here that I also have a 403 workshop manual which I'm photographing to be able to send CD's to anyone who needs it.
