An intermediate magnitude 4.7 earthquake was reported in the evening near Mutsu, Mutsu-shi, Aomori, Japan.
According to Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), the quake hit on Thursday 15 April 2021 at 8:23 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 71 km.
