Moderate magnitude 4.4 quake hits 93 km east of Copiapo, Chile in the morning

An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred 30 minutes ago 93 km east of Copiapo, Chile, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 120.6 km beneath the epicenter near Copiapo, Copiapó, Atacama, Chile, in the morning on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, at 8:29 am local time. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.4 as well. A third agency, the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, reported the same quake at magnitude 4.4.
