In my belief...

Will the World End? Yes. Or rather, civilization as we know it will end. It has been prophesied from so many sources from the bible, to the Ancient Americans, Mayans, Norse "Mythology", Ancient Sumerian Texts, etc., etc. Including prophecies from many people alive today through their dreams and visions, including my own.

You have to ask yourself, do you feel good about the way things are right now? The way things are going, do you want to continue on this fast moving path in which human value has long been replaced by the value of money and where the few that have, now have almost all of it?

And even if you could fix it, overthrow the monetary system and find a way to bring value back to ourselves, do you want to rebuild a world on the debris and decay of all that has been?

If we look at it like construction of a grand hotel in which we could all live, and we designed it so that everyone has adequate room, resources, all that we each need and deserve to live in comfort and joy...would we want to renovate existing structures, or start from scratch? Working around existing structures would make it hard, tedious, and in the end, much of it would have to be demolished to truly create a proper-working new vision anyway.

Our current civilization is truly a marvel though. I'm not throwing it out like it was a mistake, because I truly don't believe that. What we all created and brought about has been very likely the greatest achievements of all civilizations come and gone. But like those that have come and gone, it too has a shelf-life and time-span so that new and greater things can be created and realized. Growth. Progress. If past civilizations did not give way, then current civilization would not exist. And if current civilization does not give way then future civilizations will not exist. It's like a family in which parents live their hey-day and then it becomes their children's turn and so on. A natural order.

Is it selfish and wrong to hold on and insist on keeping things as they are out of fear? And what is the fear? Any one of us could die any day regardless of a world end. We live each day without knowing what is ahead and whether we will return to our home alive and well at the end of the day. So if it is fear of death, well, "death" comes to all as far as we know. Even if lives could be made longer, they still come to an end in this world of "time". If immortality is sought, it isn't through a physical body on this density. This density, this world is based on consumption and renewal where all things feed upon each other with decay as part of that process of renewal. If there is immortality, it is on a different level and density - and dependent upon your belief, and mine is that we are eternal and all a part of the whole that IS, then we never really die. And, we never really lived. We merely entered into this illusory world of physicality for the thrill and experience of exploring it, and thus to grow (so that god can grow).

We have reached a state of imbalance and critical mass, where there is much more old than there is new. It is a natural transpiration in this density, part of the birth/death experience, where one thing usurps and eats another thing. As the cycle reaches it's end, growth is achieved, the old is consumed, and the new and pristine is born. Holding onto and trying to work a decaying corpse would be true hell, wouldn't it? It's starting to feel like hell here now even.

And speaking of hell...the bible tells of the reign of hell on earth at the end. And this I believe is true. When the time comes to exit gracefully, it's a good idea to do so. Because to hang on is to choose to experience the coming atrocities - the "cleaners" that will come and gobble up all the waste that is left at the end of cycle. Waste gobblers aren't discerning, so being "here" with them would not be a fun experience (in my opinion and visions). Because as we live, we create waste, and part of the renewal in this dog-eat-dog world is for the entities that consume the left-overs, to come and do just that.

All of the world, as I said, is a world of eating. Even trees consume water, oxygen, nitrogen from decaying matter. And what makes things decay? The little organisms that eat these things. Even within our own bodies is a host of organisms that eat what we consume to break it down further (the organisms in our gut). Nothing living does not eat something.

If the earth is a living entity and humans are part of this living entity, we are part of the ecosystem of the earth. We are a large, aggressive part of that ecosystem. We could be likened to bacteria in and on the earth where we live happily and also do a service to the earth, much like the living bacteria in our bodies serve us and enable us to live and grow. When any colony of bacteria becomes extremely aggressive and predominant, due to the numbers and the ability to thrive, it is time for balance to enter. Just like taking probiotics, the earth will do a cleanse and cull the colony to renew health and make room for the colony to renew and rebuild within balance again.

The biggest fear, I think, is the issue of death and the unknown. We each have to seek peace in this matter, to probe, decide and gain belief as to whether we are part of the spirit of earth and thus immortal, and to realize that death is an illusion because we never lived or died, we just "are". But the "unknown" must be faced as it is. But that is the point...to keep progressing and moving forward experiencing the threshhold of the unknown over and over as the base of knowing grows. Maybe infinitely. That's the drive to live (to learn).

Preparation for the end for many of us is best served in seeking understanding, purging as many emotional issues as possible, and opening the heart, so that letting go and embracing the new is easier. I believe that the state of spirit is bliss and will feel rewarding when we return.

However, looking at the end from only a physical stand point, none are promised longevity from the day we are born. We might live only a minute, an hour, a year, 10 years. Some might make it only to 30, 40, 50. Those that reach 80, 90, 100, is that a prize? Who knows? I personally would not aspire to old age, end-of-the-world withstanding. But that is me. I feel drawn to something more wondrous, easier, balanced, more joyful. And I feel it is about to be served. Even if it is not, the way the world feels to me now is not superior to death -- be it the ultimate end in which there is no "me" left to remember, regret and miss my life, or be it a rebirth/reincarnation, though truly I do not want to be reborn into a world like it is now. What I am saying is, I'd like to place my bet on something better coming from the end of the world and/or my life, because what it is now, just isn't fulfilling. I find myself searching for reasons to be happy each day, like I am in a prison, and where nothing much appeals to me and motivates me to want it all to continue as it is. The only hope (for me anyway) is that something new truly is coming, something different, something better. Thus, I accept and attempt to embrace this long, long prophesised "end of world/cycle" scenario that I myself have also received as prophecy in spirit messages, dreams, and visions.

nice post I haven't read it all but will come back to post my thoughts on it! so far I don't think the world will end how most envision it will and if it did so what would that really be a bad thing? I think we all need to start anew and I wish we could live on a spiritual level much like the Buddhist monks teach. I wish that the western world implement those ideals not necessarily what they believe in, but just the value and everyday learning of the mental and spiritual aspects. Just like math and English are subjects that are thought I believe Tai chi and meditation and things like that should be part of the curriculum available to everybody at every school no matter what race or status. The poor and wealthy would both receive the same education and the children would be taught real young starting around pre-school age. Sesame street and abc's will be part of the learning schedule right on the same side with spirit:) ok I know I went off the subject a bit sorry LOL! but I'll be back to share more on what the topic is about.
