Wow. I love this dream. It syncs with me (no surprise there with us, eh).
I like your interp about the father character representing logic. Makes total sense to me.
The woman on the table as food fits in with my dreams and visions, and it really thrills me to have this kind of sync.
I love how the aliens in your dream were intrigued at hearing your ideas about the morality behind eating another sentient being.
And alas, I can relate to how the dream went off where you were trying to gather pieces of the satellite. I have this happen in my dreams where details lead me away, though the satellite break up is so relevant as well.
As for the eating...I have so many thoughts on this. For one thing, many of my dreams have been about the part we incarnated humans play in the greater-reality food chain. Without dragging out each of my dreams here, I'll just summarize what comes to mind from what I've learned in them (hence my subjective view of the greater reality).
Just a night ago, throughout the entire night, I kept seeing a vision of the earth with a giant green triangle next to it. The triangle seemed almost 2-D, but probably had a bit of thickness to it. It was large enough that the earth could easily fit into its perimeter with room to spare. I woke wondering what this meant. It was a persistent vision so I knew it meant something.
Later in the day when I decided to research what green triangle meant, I hit upon the recycle symbol and it dawned on me that this was the correct meaning. I do not interpret this to mean that we should try to recycle, but that we are going to be recycled. The three corners of the triangle is symbolic of the triplicity cycle: birth-life-death, birth-life-death, etc.
It makes sense to me that all things cycle. It is written in the Vedas as well as many other ancient texts that all things cycle including the universe itself.
I have also heard many times from those entities or energies that will come to do the clean up work and the eating. All we have created (including our waste) is food for them. I hate to use the analogy, but like the microbes in a septic tank comes to mind.
Do aliens eat us? I would say yes. I've had visions of us as a garden of sorts. As above, so below could apply. We eat everything beneath us as well. It makes me think we probably lost the plot when we stopped appreciating each thing we killed to eat, and that we don't make kindness in caring for and slaughtering an absolute priority. (Makes me think of the wonder that is Temple Gradin and her understanding of handling cattle.) Because it wouldn't be nice if we were treated in the abusive way we have sometimes treat our cattle, chickens, etc.
In addition, I know that we create a continual by-product that is collected. I opened my eyes one morning not long ago to see in the etheric the machine that was collecting my red-essence by-product, which is relished by those that consume it. I had to think it through to realize that my energy is not being taken hence depleting me, but that it is like oxygen from a tree - something I don't use and that naturally emits from me, leaving me anyway. Existence is not wasteful, it seems. Much like on earth, everything consumes something, and everything feeds something, and many things work in tandem and synergistically. Intentionality.
I don't mean to freak you out by sharing all of this, but this is what I experience as true in my reality and so I am sharing it. Much like cows or other large animals we eat, they are sentient yet we eat them. And I'll just throw in that I believe this is the plan for all (that we are in a reality that grows through consumption). If we realize that the spirit energy is eternal, and that it cannot be destroyed, it helps to realize that it is a case of constant reformation and reinvention (triplicity/recycling).
To stretch out that bit further, in the case of consuming probiotics, these organisms are eaten whole and conscious and remain alive within the host/eater. I was told by spirit, and I can understand, that this is an amazing synergistic growth opportunity/process for those that remain alive within the host.
Thanks so much for sharing your dreams, Dragonwyst. It opens new windows and doors for me.

Sister woman.
