Just 14 minutes ago, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck near San Diego, San Diego County, California, USA. The tremor was recorded around noon on Friday, March 8th, 2024, at 1:09 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 9.8 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 3.3 earthquake as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.3.
