Moderate magnitude 4.5 quake hits 63 km east of Virac, Philippines early evening

An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred early evening on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 6:40 pm local time near Virac, Catanduanes, Bicol, Philippines, as reported by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
