It's that time of year when the afternoon sunset shadows projected onto the wall in my hallway.

Amazing capture! very Fred Ressler but in color. Why are spirits always mad? (or at least they look like they are). They are always yelling too.

Thank you for the comments, VBS! I know what you mean about the spirits looking angry. At some point I chose to interpret it as fierce. I don't "feel" they are necessarily angry so much as they are intense.

This is also why they are scary though, this intensity. I mean, if they were cute and cuddly like the bunny then it would be easy to embrace them. And thankfully some of them are sweet faced (a few). Though I see all sorts of fierce spirits in photos and in the shapes around me (last night seeing a wolf man with teeth bared), none have ever hurt or menaced me. <---- (I just knew this smilie would have to come in handy some day ).

The first time I saw something bearing teeth was this serpent. I must admit that I have never been as happy-go-lucky since in going outside at night to take photos or even walking under this tree. I had to think hard about why it showed its fangs and finally concluded that it was to show me it had bite, not to threaten me.

But true, they can and do look angry.
