Moving Squirrel Town

I live in the woods, near Yosemite National Park, where we have an abundance of wild life. Bears, mountain lions, deer, bobcats, plenty of rattlesnakes and little critters of all kinds. I had a group of ground squirrels living near my home that started to become a nuisance. These ground squirrels are not unlike tree squirrels, except they burrow into the ground and make hundreds of pesky little holes about 4 inches in diameter. Well, I am ashamed to say that I took my shotgun and started killing them. I had to quit doing that, though, because it bothered my conscience too much. I thought about asking High Self to make them go away, but deep down I knew the critters had more right to be here than I did.. I was the interloper, not them. My house was built right where they wanted to dig... so they dug.

Then it dawned on me to simply go out into the middle of Squirrel Town, introduce myself properly to all the little squirrels and simply explain that their digging was interfering with my life. "I can't move my house, so I would like for you all to move out on the side of a hill not too far away. 50 yards maybe." I walked out to the hill, while telling all the little squirrels what a wonderful new place this would be for them to burrow into.

What can I say? In two days the squirrels, every one of them, left the vicinity of my house and moved out there to the side of the hill that is now literally full of holes.

I told this story to a lady I knew to be quite metaphysical and spiritual, like myself. She said she did much the same thing in a rental place she had moved into that was infested with cockroaches. She said the next morning all the cockroaches were gone. She simply asked them to leave and they did.
