Apart from the large diaphanous fairy, the pic is really bursting to the seams with many little people. Overlay, after overlay of images and forms. I see this effect regularly in my own photos. What looks authentic to my eyes, is the way the 'little people'(from all directions) are looking upwards towards the camera.
