I have had numerous "dreams" about the ancient Egyptian moon god Thoth. In fact, I first became aware of his existence through a "dream" experience in which I was taken by two entities to "see" him. (Gotta use the quotes, you see.) grin

Thoth goes by many names depending on the culture. One of his names is also Tjehuty or Djehuty. I have dreamed this name before, and last night again (from my journal):

I dreamed that I went to visit my friend at a big company where I was once employed. She had access to confidential happenings in the company, one of which was an excavation where some ancient Egyptian artifacts had been discovered. She took me to see them. There was a statue of a man I immediately recognized as Tjehuty! My beloved Tjehuty, I thought! As I got closer to the figure I realized it was alive and I took his hand which felt very soft, warm and fleshy. In holding his hand, more memories emerged. I looked at his face and tried to see it, but it kept changing and was blurry. I could make out a large prominent nose shaped similarly to a parrot's beak. Because I couldn't hone in on his looks, a memory came to me that he was Assyrian and that Assyrians were tall and thin with large golden-brown eyes. I experienced great, but fleeting familiarity knowing that I had either been close to him or part of him.

The strange thing about this dream is that I totally recognized Thoth by the name Tjehuty, as if this was most familiar (and spelled this way as well), though this is not most familiar to me in my waking reality. Also, I don't really consciously know much about Assyrians, and I'm certainly not familiar with what they look like! However, saying that, the stone Assyrian/Babylonian carvings of eyes do look similar to what I pictured in my dream. (I found the drawing below which is supposed to be of ancient Assyrians). This seems to be linking me up with my Babylonian “memories”.

Further dreams later in the night, which are difficult to describe and now becoming even more vague, may have been about life in those times, but viewed as if they were modern. I was traveling to see someone who was going to fix my teeth (a dentist?). I was in an elevator going to the office, but it felt like a large concrete-type room (maybe an ancient stone room?) rather than an elevator. And the “dentist” seemed Middle Eastern in appearance. dunno
