The other bike story...

This happened when I was about 14 years old. I was riding my bike, and not being mindful reye , I passed in front of a cross street where someone in a pickup truck was pulling out into traffic. I was hit by the truck and thrown into the middle of double lane traffic.

One interesting thing is I didn't feel any pain or pressure when I was hit. I just realized I was lying in the middle of the road. I couldn't feel anything really. In fact, I was rather detached and curious maybe even ever so slightly amused watching people rushing around arguing what to do with me. The man in the truck was very upset and he ran out and tried to pull me out of the road. A lady jumped out of her car and screamed at him not to touch me (probably in case I had injured my back).

Miraculously traffic in all four lanes managed to stop without any accidents. And amazingly in one car was an undercover police officer who jumped out of his car and showed his badge and summoned the police. And just then a girl I had never seen before walked by and asked if she could contact anyone for me. I asked if she knew my boyfriend of the time (I was meeting up with him somewhere) and despite it being a fairly large community, she did know him and said she would run to his house and tell him.

I felt paralysed and could not move for some time as I lay in the road, but I didn't feel the tiniest morsel of fear. In hindsight, I'm quite sure I "left my body" or rather, my consciousness expanded to outside of myself. My soul knew I was fine and sat back watching the whole event as if a spectator. And I was fine--I only had a small gouge on one leg that never did hurt but left a tiny scarred.

At some point everything returned to normal and I could move. I don't remember ever feeling any pain or adverse effects. coolpeace
