Although JAB still post signs etc in their office (particularly in my area) about being the CPIU they are commonly known as and refer to themselves as JAB. CPIU... Child Protection Investigation Unit... Seems to me that this name is too NARROW MINDED. It is a name which would suggest that all they do is protect children. Somebody is already crowned with this glory... Whereas JAB... Juvenile Aid Bureau... Is more an umbrella name for a service that not only encompasses abused children, but truancy, juvenile crime, crime against children etc.
