~Fleeing A Haunted House~

These are just my ponders based on my observations and I have a question.

I believe that there are such things as haunted houses, residences and/or property.

From my observations, There are somethings that are a given when it's comes to the paranormal aspects of a haunted house:

1) Belief isn't necessarily a factor in if there's paranormal activity.
2) Not everyone experiences the activity
3) One family may experience activity and yet another family won't, but the next family might.
4) And just for the record, I believe that a person or a family can be haunted and not the residence.

Sooo, now on to my post and question.

There's many Haunted House stories on the tv & books and so on...
There's usually one or more paranormal persons or groups that confirms the house is haunted and a potential threatening situation.

In Some of the haunted residence stories there is a cleansing or an exorcism and the haunting ceases...

However, in most of the stories the family packs up and moves away from the residence and leaves the negative activity behind...
and...
that's the end of the story...(most of the time)

mmmm... this is the part that thoroughly baffles me...

Could you sleep at night knowing that you left a negative active haunted house and not at least try before your rent was up or you sell the house to get it cleansed or exorcised?

What if you or a family member had been in danger from the activity or even attacked by the ghosts or evil spirits. yikes
I believe it has and does happen in some extreme violent hauntings.

I couldn't just leave a house unsettled like that... and I know that it's possible the activity may not happen again for decades or ever again...

I realize unless you've been through it, you won't know exactly how you'd react... but I would hope I would think about the future human inhabitants and how they may be affected.

I pray I never have to find out what I would do, but I can say that it's pretty much for Sure that if I had the available resources, I would move away from a potentially dangerous haunted residence.
However, I would hope that after I moved away that I would still at least try to find someone to rid the place of whatever was haunting it before my rent was up or before I sold the house.
