I woke this morning at 6 am with intentions of falling back to sleep for a while, but the moment I opened my eyes, I saw orange light glowing from the crack in my drapes and part of me insisted I wake up. I had to see why there was orange light coming in. It looked like a bright orange sunset.

Apparently the orange skies are due to fierce dust storms kicking up orange/red dust from inland NSW.

To add to the strangeness, last night D spent hours rinsing our hot water tank because the night before we had begun to experience bright orange water (the colour of Fanta!) coming from the hot water tap. It seems years of dirt sediment had collected (we didn't know dunno). Highly synchronistic though that we had bright orange water the night before and then woke this morning to bright orange air!
