Wow, what a fascinating experience! The in-between-wake-and-sleep state is where you are altered enough to experience the spirit world, but still have your conscious mind to record the experience and to access your memory and logic to some degree. I have not experienced the bee buzzing noise, but this phenomena sounds familiar so I probably read about someone else experiencing it. My theory as to what you have experienced is...you consciously experienced one of the many possible dimensions created by your possible choices. It is a dimension/pathway that you ended up not taking, but had the privilege of experiencing so you could ponder what it means. My  And thanks for sharing, OQ!
