I'm curious about why light is a big issue whenever time-travel is discussed. It's thought, if you can travel faster than the speed of light then perhaps you could go back in time.
I understand the speed part, but what does light have to do with it.
The particles that scientists are speculating on that may change Einsteins theories, are thought they might have perhaps traveled through different dimensions to be faster than light... but there again they say Traveling faster than"Light". Traveling faster means you're quicker and and arrive in a shorter length of time. So if the speed of light is the measure of time then is light itself 'time illuminated'.
I considered once some years ago, that perhaps light may be one of the few elementals that we have some control over, but now I think maybe that perhaps light is "time illuminated" otherwise why would we have to outrun it to be able to time-travel. kidding
I'm just thinking out loud here and having some fun along the way. I really haven't any idea where to go with these thoughts.
So, I welcome your thoughts on the time-travel and what light itself may represent. Is it only a speed marker or something else?
