There stands an 800 year old jungle temple in Cambodia.
Near the temple’s exit is a circular glyph containing the carving of an animal that bears an uncanny resemblence to a stegosaurus(dinosaur)
Supposedly, the dinosaurs became extinct around 65 million years ago...so taking that this glyph is not a fake, how come an artist of 800 years ago, could portray a likeness of a dinosaur, unless he happened to see one maybe?

I enjoy info like this. It does make a person wonder if maybe the dinos lived in seclusion after they were supposed to have died out... I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. They find ancient critters even today... Makes one stop and consider what other things they really did see a century ago... I bet we would be totally amazed if we knew.

This is the kind of info that makes you sit up and think Dawn. 
I also remember reading about ancient decorated pottery found somewhere in Central or South America, that had dinosaur images depicted on them.
I also had a few thoughts into the Loch Ness monster and other Lake monsters from around the world. These creatures tend to be described as if coming from the extinct line of dinosaurs.
I offer a couple of thoughts on this:
It could be that in certain area's of the world there are certain conditions that allow for people to experience 'timeslips'. By that I mean these people get a view of what has gone before in our Earth history, or even a glimpse of the future is shown.They then have these visions in their conscious minds and can reproduce the images on pottery, glyphs etc, showing things which are not present in their version of time or reality.
or
Things from the past or future are projected into our reality for short periods of time, and are witnessed by a person/persons,and then the object returns to it's own time/dimension.
Just a couple of thoughts to ponder.

Well flitter... I got my years wrong in my last post I meant to say 'all those centuries ago' not 'a century'.... Sorry about that. Thanks for not questioning me about it. Timeslips are curious things to be sure. I really don't know much about them, but I hear they do happen... and it stands to reason that folks from yore would have experienced them as well.

Nice post, Chris! I enjoyed all the conjecture, too. It reminded me of something I read once...in which a diary of an early American settler had depictions of ostrich like birds, but larger, that were hunted on the content then. Perhaps they were remaining dinsosaur, until then.  But I can't remember where I read this, so it remains hearsay unless I find some reference. But even the cassowary is basically a dinosaur isn't it? (When I first saw one my jaw dropped).  And the ostrich and emu, too?

I do believe birds are dinosaur descendants Alisa. 
The Cassowary, Emu, Ostrich, Rhea etc are all from the same species.The Cassowary looking the strangest, due to the horned crest on it's head. These birds are also quite aggressive if disturbed and pack a very vicious kick and possess a 5" claw on the middle toe, so beware. They remind me of the 'raptors' from Jurassic park. 
There is a lot of artwork and images of archaic animals and things to be found all over the world, on cave walls, pottery, glyphs and stone slabs, but to name a few.
How they come to be depicted by ancient people, who certainly did not see them(normally) is a mystery.
Another thing is - how much information, text's, drawings have been lost through the ages through burnings and destruction( both intentional and unintentional). things that the ancient people may have had access to, but is no longer around for us to see it

Food for thought...
Even though as human beings we are all unique and all individual... We are also history repeating itself.
The average person is born with 2 arms, 2 legs etc... And a working mind.
Thinking about today's society and how more and more people are getting in touch with their inner self and tapping into dormant or unpracticed psychic abilities... They are only exploring areas of their own minds which have always been there.
How often have we heard that psychic ability is in everyone and that practice and meditation etc will help bring it to the fore?
Anyway, the point I am getting at (the "history repeating itself" bit) is that as recently as the last couple of hundred years of our existence, they would burn people at the stake - accusing them of witch craft - when it was more than likely truth that these people were not said witches, but had a heightened psychic ability.
My theory is that in ages prior to this, it is extremely possible that past nations also had people with a sixth sense who were able to see what had gone before.
History has shown that past nations of the world have had shamans, wise men/women and today we have doctors and natural health practitioners who in essence to the same thing these past "healers" did.
It's all the same... Just a new name for a new era.

Some are born with it already working well, others never really take to it, but is within all of us. My theory is that in ages prior to this, it is extremely possible that past nations also had people with a sixth sense who were able to see what had gone before.

Yes, that is exactly right... Many people are born with a natural gift of a 6th sense. Some discover theirs through trauma or tragedy and others decide to dig for it and see if they can develop it enough to use it.
I use the term "6th sense" simply because for everybody it's different. Some people have one skill and some have more than one. Some people can do this but can't do that etc.

That is so true and reminds me of the programs I've been watching lately where people compete using their psychic skills. I think it is called "America's Psychic Challenge", though was done first in Britain. But I just cottoned on to the program so I am watching the "finals". It is absolutely compelling. And I noticed that some of the participants are able to tap into particular abilities with great ease whilst struggling with others. For example, one of the challenges was to find in this desert area, a boy who was intentionally hiding. One psychic man ran straight to the boy. Other of the challengers took 30 minutes and whilst close to finding him, did not find the boy. Yet on another challenge the man didn't do as well. Depends probably on many things, how good they feel that day, etc.
