I have experienced some strange etheric critters in my lounge room. I think this is in part because this a room where I can relax easily. We really only use this room for watching movies so I am usually in a passive mental mode. And it's not at all unusual that I nod off in that room.

Today I was in there watching a movie and I fell asleep. The phone rang in the other room and roused me into an altered state (not asleep, but not awake). I could see the lounge room exactly as it is with my etheric eyes, but my physical eyes were closed. I reclined relaxing when suddenly a large spider (body including legs = the size of a golf ball) dropped on a line of silk. It was not near me, it came from the ceiling off to the right several feet, but the action grabbed my attention and spiders freak me out so I turned my inner vision to it as it dropped. My vision had followed it down to where it had stopped above the floor, but at that point my surprise prompted me to open my physical eyes. And I saw nothing there. But it was a calm and conscious action of mine to open my eyes, not like coming up from sleep.

I have experienced etheric spiders of all sizes (usually black and somewhat furry) drop from threads above my bed. I have even seen them crawl across the blanket on a few occasions whilst I was awake, but very relaxed, and watching TV in the dark.

Another experience in the lounge room happened while I had just dozed for a moment and felt something crawl onto my pointer finger and perch there. I looked down with my inner vision and saw it was a chameleon. It looked up at me with one of its telescopic eyes. It was such a detailed creature, so very real. But I was rather shocked to have it on me, and the feeling was so solid, that my physical eyes flew open. But again, I could not see it there (nor feel it).

Lately, I will sometimes feel movement on my legs or hands that feels like a bug or mosquito. I will look down to see nothing there. So I began experimenting and waiting to feel movement and to study the feeling before looking down. To see how real it is or if I'm letting myself get the crawlies! Waiting, I will feel it move in a definite direction, then stop, then move again. At times I am positive something is on me, but 95% of the time, I physically see nothing there. (The rest of the time it might be a physical mosquito, or fly, etc.).

I couldn't get myself for the longest to read this post because it had to do with something about spiders and you know how much I hate those things eww! scared poor you I would just die yikes if I had experiences like that I can't take them in the physical so, I know how scared I'll be in the spiritual. I always think or vision a spider on me or in my bed for some reason. I don't feel them in the etheric, but they pop up in my mind regularly at night. It's not because of fear either that I think of them which is weird since I utterly detest those creatures so I don't know why of all the bugs to think about it's always them. scared

How wonderful of you to go ahead and read it and comment despite the yucky topic! Good on ya! highfive

And it really helps me so much to get feedback like this and learn more about you, my sister.

I have always had serious arachnophobia. I have two very early memories in my life of terror and spiders, one was when I was about 2 or 3. My mom ran the bathtub and there was a little spider that had crawled up the spout (I think there is a song about that thinking) and when the water came out of the spout, it rendered the spider limb from limb. I was utterly aware of this whole scene being Little Miss Detail, whereas my mom wouldn't have had a clue. I began yelling out in terror that mom had to come immediately. "A spider, A spider!" She knew I was terrified of them (though neither of my parents had a fear of spiders - hint, not a learned behaviour in this case). Anyway, she kind of chuckled and said, "But it's dead." I didn't care, I wanted the water drained, and every single strand of spider DNA removed from the bathtub before I could even fathom getting in there! She fished out the bits (and we are talking wee bits as it was a tiny spider). She coaxed me in and left me to my bath and sure enough, my fiercely hunting eyes found a leg floating in the water. I was outta there!

The other memory was of the same age. I was no more than 3 as I was in a daycare that I only attended up to that age. I used to love going to the chain-link fence in the yard there where a leafy plant grew. Many of the leaves of this plant would be folded over and contain a little green caterpillar. The leaf was held together with a bit of silk. I would open each leaf like it was a little present and marvel at the caterpillar inside. I was not afraid of them at all. Well, after a while I opened a leaf and out jumped a green spider! It was the same colour as the caterpillars, but moved in that awful mechanical spider way, swift and on many hinges. I screamed!! And never opened another leaf, much to the relief of the poor caterpillars.

For some reason spiders are symbols of fear for some of us. So for us, they are things we most have to face in order to overcome fear. Oh, I might add that my son does not fear spiders (not learned or genetic). He certainly had no fear of them as an infant like I did. His are (get this...) dogs. Even puppies! That is why I now have a fleet of dogs. It was my husband's brilliant (no sarcasm, I swear) idea to acquire dogs to help my son overcome his intense fear of them. It was getting to the point he didn't want to leave the house for fear he may run into a dog outside. But I wouldn't want us to get carried away and get pet spiders! freaked Or would I? thinking

Let me paste in a sampling of my journal entries that relate to this topic of spiders and fear:

But by noticing them, and eliciting fear in myself, they began to move. I felt they would move toward me and I knew them to be aggressive so I quickened my pace, hoping not be be bitten. They were female. And greyish in colour though I knew they were naturally black. I also understood that if I had never noticed them (as I hadn't in the past), they would never have been a threat. So noticing them brought them to life. This is the message I often receive...see and focus only on positive because whatever is focused on is what will “be”.

I lifted the first sheet of paper and underneath it I saw a spider webbing and empty spider sacs. Every page was the same (with spider stuff). I was slightly horrified and I couldn't use any of the papers. When I lifted one of the pages I wondered if there was a spider buried in a sac and just then I saw some legs start to poke through.

Then I found myself transported to my childhood home and I was in the front yard at night. The spider came out from the pages and it is long and thin. Despite my horror of spiders I found it somehow cute. I wondered how I could find it cute when I am so afraid of spiders. It quickly grew before my eyes to have the sweet face of a dog, and then becomes an adorable dog. But I found it hard to shake the knowledge that it was born of a spider.

It represented her, but as always, as I wake, I have to translate what I know in my larger out-of-body sense with the brain's limited comprehension and faculities. So I was thinking...what is this shape, and I thought Is it a rodent? As I think I sensed a fur about it. Then no.... Oh, is it the sun? I thought that because I realized it was round and had things sticking out of it (maybe like drawing a picture of a sun). And I thought...no...Ah, maybe it's a spider. A big white spider. I thought, Maybe my ultimate fear is to reunite totally with the mother. I did have a dream a while back about a huge white spider. I think it is the ultimate fear that I must over come. And as much as I dooo soooo fear spiders, I thought, whatever is needed, I will do it. I will.

Why do I fear it? Maybe because when we broke off from the whole and we descended over a period of time our first iterations on earth were in a spiritual form still more close to the original (all-loving balanced spirit). But we slowly fell further and further (hence the garden of Eden). As we did so, a few civilizations back (before the flood), we split into two sexes. And then we descended all the way down to the lowest. Which I guess is primitive human. As we start our upward ascent, we start to become more like what we originally were. And all of this split and reuinion is growth just like cells splitting. Why we are afraid is because as we were broken down into our lowest form and we took on pure physical, we lost our memory of our divine. That was necessary. And so we are blind and afraid of that which we do not know (or in other words, what we do not "remember"). Terrified of it. Unknown is scary. But as I reach more toward it, the rewards are amazing. As I conquer each fear and receive rewards for it, it helps me intellectually know that next time, no matter how much my body reacts with fear (and it does) I should gently, but insistently push it forward. (Like giving birth)! That is how to progress.

Speaking of spiders just yesterday I was getting in the car at the movie theater when Brandon calmly said watch your foot I was like huh and he said "your foot" for some reason I freaked out and flung my flip flop off my foot into the parking lot because I automatically thought of a spider!!! He was actually telling me to watch my foot because I stepped on a jelly bean and he didn't won't me to get it in the car LOL!!!! laughing he bust out laughing and so did I. I think it was the way he "calmly" said it that threw me for a loop cuz I knew he wouldn't want me to panic If a spider incident would occur, so in the back of my mind that's what I thought.

Even today I had a spider pop out of the window while I was in the shower!! shocked2 It was a little one but still a spider is a spider! plus the window is inside the shower with me so it was still to close for my comfort. I knew this was going to happen because we're repainting in the bathroom so we took out all the draws to refurbish them. I took everything out and was like just watch a spider is going to pop up somewhere because of all the junk that I have in those cabinets LOL!!!

My fear started when my mom actually took me to the movies to see the movie arachnophobia. If only I knew then what I know now overact My life has been forever changed since that damn movie I don't know if it was because I was to young to go see that sort of movie or if it was seeing hundreds and hundreds of spiders on the big screen might I add coming from all nooks and crannies killing people!!!! To this day I still can remember the scene when the tarantula came from under the toilet seat while someone was sitting on it AHHHHHH!!! yikes gonemad so it's not genetics or from a learned behavior either.

By the way cute drawing I wish all spiders look like that then maybe I wouldn't be such a scary cat cat when it comes to them which is a bit weird if you think about it because coming and living in south especially Louisiana we have big big cockroaches!!! and everybody I know is scared of them don't get me wrong I don't like roaches either especially the ones that fly, but I'll take a roach over a spider any day. I'll probably run for my life dino and pass out with a roach but I'll just plain die with a spider wouldn't even have time to run reaper

I swear I know just what you mean about thinking a spider is around and reacting as such. I think this is about fear in general...there is something you are in the midst of facing that scares you, so spiders are being drawn to you to reflect this. IMO.

And the spiders just showing up - that happens to me, too, even during times of the year when they should not be around. This for me usually coincides, as I said, with fear. One time it was when I went outside to take photos of the bats. I felt afraid and they were swooping down in the yard toward me a bit. I reached my limit and I walked inside as calmly as I could but my heart was racing. When I shut the door behind me, a spider dropped right in front of my face (a black spider made so visible by the white curtain behind it). I knew instantly that it was a little physical manifestation of my fear.

And I also agree with you on the cockroaches. We have them here as well, lots of big ones. I don't like them much, but they don't terrify me. I'd WAY rather have one of those walk over the top of me than a spider! But I have a friend who fears roaches - phobically - but not spiders. Funny, eh.

I wish I could precisely say why it IS spiders for us. I can say that some of the entities that I interact with are part spider or take the form of a spider sometimes. I don't fear the vampires or the wolves or the bats, but the spider part is a bit harder to love. Still, I believe I must, so I try. I actually believe they are a part of my soul, spiders, and I would like to overcome my fear.

Great, now having stated that...I await the lesson. paranoid
