Just 9 minutes ago, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Calama, Provincia de El Loa, Antofagasta, Chile. The tremor was recorded in the evening on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, at 9:50 pm local time, at an intermediate depth of 77 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.3 earthquake as well.
