Hi, Chris!  The tree is a native tree -- I don't know the name, but I'll try to find out (curious now myself). It is a spindly, sparsley-leaved tree. But the lush green-ness in the photo probably comes from the large-leaved deciduous trees several metres away (behind the fence).
