Thanks for the great feedback on Elaine's photos, Chris and Dawn. Your ideas, theories and visions have really added to my own. Elaine also thanks you for your input and provides more background: My story about orbs, ecto and spirit photos goes like this... I decided that I wanted a hybrid wolf as a companion, so I looked in the paper and saw a litter of them was for sale in a nearby town. I sat down near the fenced kennel where the pups were penned. The owner let the pups out and they started running around playing. None of them came near me, except one. He ran up to me and licked my hand. I instantly said, I will take that one. He chose me. So that became the beginning of my story of 14 years with a wonderful, spiritual best friend. I named him Dakota.
I took him up in the mountain roads to run every day because of his boundless energy. He was so beautiful, I decided to take photos of him and use them in my oil paintings. I bought a Minolta 35 millimeter camera, and started taking pictures. I noticed the round things in the photos, but I thought they were flaws in the film. One day at work, the rain came into a window I had forgotten to close and drowned the camera. So, there was no more pictures for a while. I then got a Pentax for Christmas. And the round things were there in that camera also. I just wondered about them, but didn't say or do anything.
Years passed, and I could sense that there was something different about about Dakota, that I had never experienced with many other dogs I had owned. He looked straight into my eyes and I could sometimes feel what he was thinking. Sometimes I was frustrated, because I knew he was trying to communicate something to me and I couldn't understand.
When he was 10 years old, I bought a computer and a digital camera. Wow! When I took photos of him and put them up on the screen there were so many orbs. I couldn't ignore them any more. I just sat down at my kitchen table and prayed and meditated, What are those things? "ORBS," came into my thoughts. "Look in the Internet." So, I did, and there to my surprise, other people were also photographing them . Then I decided to talk to the orbs and acknowledge their presence. I then started seeing ecto and mists in the photos. For the next 4 years I did little tests to prove to myself that there was intelligence and curiosity in the orbs. The ecto seemed to like to go on walks, the orbs liked animals. I traveled way up in the mountains and found orbs there also.
Dakota became ill and the activity of orbs and ecto became tremendous. It was all over everywhere, in every photo. In December 2006, my wonderful best friend crossed over in a very cold deep snow storm. I was pleased for him because he loved the snow so much. His last days here he spent laying in the snow as much as I would allow him to. I took many photos. In his lifetime, the only thing that Dakota showed any great respect to in the animal world was bears. He rubbed only their scent on his fur, nothing else, like most dogs do. He showed no fear or respect to any other animal, he was alpha wolf. When he was too ill to be inside the cabin any longer, he lived in the canopy of my truck. I fixed it really nice for him. One day, a friend gave me a bear hide, because he had no more room in his freezer because he had killed a deer and needed the space. So, I put the bear hide in the truck with Dakota. He instantly claimed it by covering it with some hay and laying down on top of it. He was so pleased, I think he actually felt better having the hide with him.
I was giving him a lot of medications from the vet, which he didn't like at all, but he let me do it. The tests and meds went on for a year. Then one day, he put his paw on my leg, looked deep into my eyes, and said,"Please let me go." So, with a broken heart and tears that have never stopped, I said, "ok," and I stopped the medications. Right after he passed, I took some photos and in one was an orb with Dakota's head and the head of a bear in it.
I was so sad and upset, friends suggested I get a puppy to help me survive the pain of losing him. So I looked on the internet and found a website that sold hybrids. After a while I decided to get one of their pups and I paid a down payment on it before it was born. I was working at a horse stable at this time, and a horse trainer came to give a clinic bringing Blue Healer pups with him. I thought they were so cute, but I already had a down payment on the wolf pup, so I said no to myself, No! I had a favorite Blue Healer pup though, and every day, as pups were sold, I was hurt that he might go. On Friday, I had two days off, and the trainer was to be gone on Monday, so I thought good, I won't be tempted any more. Well, I got to work on Monday and there was the little blue puppy, all the rest had sold. The trainer had stayed an extra day
All day, the puppy followed me around, and when I squatted down to watch my daughter brush her horse, he came and sat between my legs and kissed my chin. He just sat there cuddling with me for a long time. My daughter said, Mom he wants to go home with you, but I told her I already had a puppy coming and she said, you have had two dogs before! So, I brought him home. When the wolf pups arrived, I ask for a male, and the lady sent me photos. She said, I have named this one Key'rush, which means 'Little Bear' in Inuit Eskimo language. Wow! What a sign! So I said, I will take him. So in March of this year, Buddy the blue puppy and I went to Apple Valley California and picked up Little Bear. The first photos I took when we got home had ecto in it that looks like a large dog playing with the puppies. And the next photos were the purple orbs in the back of the truck. I now have more orbs and ecto showing up all around the puppies. I am excited to find out what is in store for us on our journey. (I have had ducks, which I gave away, because bobcats were killing them, but the ecto and orbs really liked being around them too). Here is the photo of Bear and Buddy playing mentioned above:
And more cute photos that to my eye are filled with nature spirits:
