A little something that I just shared w/OMJ a few days back - although I don't think he agrees w/me, is my ongoing resentment w/the word 'imagination'! The reason is simple really, you touched on it above in you 'right on' theory.

Imagination I feel, is a word invented to calm our subconscious when rattled. I believe that all things that fall under 'imagination' are realities that 'we' are prompted to assume as 'not real' by the word imagination. What a clever way, I've always thought, to avoid having to validate our subconscious, w/ our consciousness of other realities. Just create a word that chalks everything too small, or in some cases, too big for our human mind to grasp, into the catagory of 'pretend' or 'make believe'.

What a pitty it is to have allowed our human minds to be altered, to believe that anything that doesn't fall under the 'norm' or 'physical',is to be considered...Imagination.

I wonder if people consider that at one time it was 'imagined' that we could one day travel to the moon.... Now we do! Or that it was 'imagined' that a heart transplant could be accomplished...Now they are, all over the world. Or how about the imagination of in-utero fetal surgery...That now actually exists & is in no small part, responsible for thousands of lives saved before birth from spinabifita(sp?)?

I think if people replaced the word 'imagine' with 'concieve' it would take on a more accurate definition of the action assumed by many as imagination.Imagination is actually in my opinion the 'conception' of thought. To imagine is to project image...what is image in one's mind?...Thought. What is thought once concieved? ... Creation. Thought is creation on every level. Everything that we've ever attributed to imagination ends up becomming part of our conscious reality. Either 'our' thought creates it - which is true,or in some cases others' thoughts have created it, & we're simply remembering it. I belive that both examples are what we today call imagination. But in reality imagination is concept, & in that - a very valid reality. It constantly amazes me that people 'get this' when someone mentions the word 'concept car' of the future. They seem to noy only get it, but also to concieve of it one day becomming a mainstream car in reality. But they don't seem to get it when talking about other concepts passed off as imagination.

It's crazy how in this day & age some people still tell their children that ghosts, gobblins, monsters, and worlds that we see in our sleep are just part of our imagination. I find it a terrible injustice to our children, to direct them towards not trusting what their souls remember & know to be true at a subconscious level. Also I find it an equal injustice to train our children's minds to believe that anything not experienced in the physical, is not worth a second look or any kind of validation aside from a very 'vivid imagination'. How 'bout we just call it what it really is...an excellent memory & creation skills!!! I can't tell you how many a sensitive or psycic child has been in touch w/what he/she knows to be truth, or valid memories, only to be told "That's just your imagination". I truely truely resent that word w/ all of my being, for me it's code for "Please lie to yourself where inserted"!
