Oh and I wanted to mention that yes it is easier for a mother to say "Aww baby, don't worry it was just a dream", and my mom at one time used to say the same thing. But I find that children are actually more accepting of truth, no matter how scarey the truth may seem at times. And I find it more benificial to say to mine, "Aww it's alright baby, you just visited another place that your soul was aware existed, & although it was scarey, your back now w/ mommy, & you're safe.".
Also I try to teach my son to ask source before sleep to accompany him through his journies & memories during sleep,& help him not to be so scared when comming back to this reality. And he not only does this at the wee age of 6 1/2, but believes it whole heartedly.
Now my son knows that when he falls asleep, he will visit places that might scare him, but that it's just a short trip & he'll return back to me shortly. He's also aware that the beautiful places he visits and feelings of total bliss he experiences are also real, and looks forward to remembering them upon his return.
I think the honesty factor allows our children to tap into the tools that they already come equipt with to protect themselves. And lying to them only inhibits them from tapping into them, and promotes atrophy of the mind, & powers that "we" all come equipt with, & KNOW how to access.
My mom while staying w/us for 6months before she died, got my son into balancing his chakras every night before bed. They would both lay in the dark, and visualize each color of each chakra entering their bodies through the tops of their heads, and flowing all the way through their whole body until it shot out of their toes. They would do this w/every color of every chakra, while conrtolling their breathiung patterns(Spencer was only 5 at the time).
I was amazed at how easily he took to this at such a young age. And of how faithful he was with this ritual. To this day, when he awakens from memories of a place that he just visited in his sleep that has left him less than secure, he calls me into the room and asks "Mom will you lay here and do the chakra thing w/me, so I can be 'ready' when I go back to sleep?". Bless his heart, & Bless moms heart for teaching my baby such a valuable lesson in tapping into his own tools & using them for comfort & protection!
I love ya mom & thank you so much.
