This civilization will end very shortly, for converging reasons.
Perhaps the first point to note are aspects of the integral structure of our modern civilization - it is exponentially consuming it's environment with individuals (including families and groups) being interdependently tied to one another to ensure it continues. It is a double bind by design.

Many may interpret this, if they agree of course as 'negative' or 'doom', however that is only one perspective - usually by one who is quite content with how things are (especially if their focus is upon their own contentment).

In reality it is neutral and is as it is.

In addition, regardless of how much those in perceived power keep trying to keep things afloat, on this level 'cataclysm' will clear the way in due time. Again, those attached to this physical existence may read the above with fear.
