thankyou2 Thanks.
I was worried if I said too much or sounded harsh. I didn't mean to come off sounding like a smarty-pants. blush

I'm in agreement with you about the worrying part. I think perhaps that's why we only receive a bit of the necessary info if need be.

Which begs the question, why is it that most predictions are negative regardless of source?

Once upon a time, I purchased an astrology book. I figured at least the stars gives a sporting chance of positive info... well maybe to someone who really knew how to read the charts. I figured that I would like astrology. In my opinion it's sort-of okay in the Biblical sense by way of reference to looking for signs in the heavens.
I ran a chart for every 5 years for around fifteen years ahead. I did my best to read them by-the-book. I didn't see any major changes and figured I wasn't reading them right. Or maybe I was and my life was supposed to be on an even keel for awhile... which didn't happen, I might add. eyebrow
I gave up on it. I realized it must take some extra brain cells and special skills to learn all that stuff. kidding
Then many years later Pluto got a raw deal and I wonder if the astrologers had to change the way they make charts or if they still use Pluto. scratchchin
I will say this though: in my entire life there was 2 times that the blanket-astrology forecasts in the newspapers hit right on the money.
But I think the odds of years of daily forecasts are bound to hit sometime. wink It still was kind of interesting though.

Palmistry is something that always peeked my interest. It too should at least have a sporting chance of giving a positive forecast.
I bought a small grocery store palm reading book once upon a time and I also have surfed around the net about palm reading. There doesn't seem to be any specific info on the lines that I'm looking for.
I've never been to a palm reader, but I know a few people that has. A couple of the predictions hit, but there again, the odds are in favor of a forecast being correct every now and then... especially the ones that cold-read.

Do the lines in the palm of your hands tell a story. Well of course, but are they a road map of the future? I don't know. I don't exactly think so since some folks don't have hands and also some folks work the lines off the palms of their hands through industrial work or jobs that requires alot of heavy hands on work. (I guess I should have said 'used too' since I don't know of much industrial or hard labor work around now-a-days.)

So in reference to palmistry, I conclude that one should look ahead with high hopes and not into their hands for the answers... (but I'm still curious)

I echo what you have said Alisa, forecast and readings are based alot on personal interpretations. The attitude and desires of the reader has as much to do with a prediction as the actual methods and devices.

Anyway, I thought I'd throw astrology and palmistry in the discussion for good measure since both are based on factors other than spirits talking.

I look forward to hearing any thoughts yea or nay or maybe okay?
