Welcome to the forum but sorry I have to see you here as if you're here means you have problems with DOCS like the rest of us.
As for the money, yes sorry to say you're right as DOCS has its own Lawyers which are fully drilled in the way DOCS think and most of the times they even know that they are going to win long before it even goes to trial.
If you turn up with a high profile family Lawyer well that's different but unfortunately we are becoming like America, the land of Lawyers and money.
I heard of this before where the foster carers will fight to the death to keep a stolen child and this alone make me puke.
Say a prayer each night that they might rot in hell with all the other child stealer's in Australia.
