I hear what you are saying, let me see if I understand. Are you saying that the more you know the more choice you have? And conversely, the less you know the less choice. The knowledge held, including awareness provides the ability to choose to put it simply. Representation of what? Of an energy that exists, or a function of this reality simulation? And would you know its purpose or why it represents itself as a vampire? I think these things are for you to consider if you wish to. No I do not know of it's purpose if it has one or many nor why the vampire.
