Now the fun starts the job of restoring my roof was given to "Impulse Home Improvements" the salesman was full of charm and he guaranteed me a 100% job on the restoration which included the stripping of the paint, FULL re-beding, repointing, re-sealing, a prima bond and the final coats.
First day on the Job the Safety rail installers install the rails on the 2 storey house and break 3 tiles, if care was taken no tiles would have been broken.
Just after the rails were installed the guy to pressure clean my roof arrived with a pressure gun that made me laugh " I SAID YOU HAVE TO BE JOKING!! I CAN PISS HARDER THAN YOUR CLEANER!,he had one look at my roof and agreed and could'nt wait to get out of the place.
What bothers me is I repeated like a parrot, like a parrot, like a parrot to the salesman and to the manager send your biggest GUN OUT!!
The salesman said there biggest they have is around 4000 PSI now they can only find a biggest of 3000 PSI,Hummmmmm??????????.
Also on the rumour mill is that they want me to sign a disclaimer on the job that means no warranty, now why didn't the experienced saleman tell me that they could not remove all the paint!! because I repeated like a parrot, like a parrot, like a parrot and said to him what happens if you can't remove it all he said nothing about a disclaimer, all his charming personality wanted was my signature but now Impulse wants to move the goal post whilst the game is in motion.
Anyhow tomorrow one of their people are going to come out to re-inspect the roof to give me the bad news. In their contract it is written that a cancellation of contract by me will incur a 20% restitution. Now, if I don't sign the disclaimer and they want to pull out of doing the job, are they going to give me a 20% restitution for removing the pool solar heater, which covers approximately 35% of the roof??
Will keep all informed.
Phil
