Oh heck no.

Unfortunately (for DoCS) the worst thing they could get from my involvement with PCIT was a short list of all the appointments that I was either late for or missed. And this was during a time that I was either unable to attend due to a spate of dental issues or my house was flooded with rain water.

The best thing they could dredge up was a commitment issue... My ability to commit to the program.

Unfortunately it's somewhat difficult to commit to something when you are going through a long series of specialist, dentist and denture clinic appointments and trying to keep your house dry in between.

I believe that they expected me to dose myself up with strong pain killers and continuously take my 2 remaining children to the hospital every other day to have casts put on their limbs due to constantly slipping on wet surfaces IN my home and breaking bones.

Of course - I would have been an irresponsible parent for ignoring the HEALTH ISSUE in my home. And it would have somehow been my fault that I allowed my house to flood and cause injury to my children.

And if one of my girls who are in care was to be injured in my home due to flood water - wouldn't that rain hellfire and brimstone!!!

They totally ignored the fact that my involvement with the program was MY idea - not theirs. But they took it upon themselves to stick their noses in... As they do.

Fortunately for me the therapists knew that my involvement was solely due to my own want and need. So I had that advantage.
