I underwent a Psycho-Social assessment in late 2006.

They wanted to send me to some guy in Brisbane, but by this time I'd found all I needed to know about choosing my own "man".

I refused to go and see "their" man and put my own man's name on the table. They agreed - pending funding of course.

I gave them no choice, I said it was my guy or no assessment.

It took about 2 months to get funding approved from the over budget office.

I went to see the guy of my choice and it was very interesting.

Not only was he a single parent, but he was anti-DoCS as well.

He refused to read the departmental history DoCS had sent him... He makes it a rule to not read that at all for any client.

When his report came out, DoCS didn't like it one bit!

They balked at paying his bill because they "didn't get what they paid for".

What they didn't get was a written essay repeating their departmental history and backing them up!
