What a fascinating story. It would be very confronting to experience ghosts so tangibly, and to hear the air-raid sirens.  It is interesting to ponder how you felt relief after your in-laws arrived and took some of the spirit focus off of you. It is a new angle for me in thinking about safety in numbers.  And the footprint in the snow...
