I also liked the analogy of the transparent layers because when I am viewing a photo and I see images merged with each other I feel as though I want to peel off layers so I can see each image separately. I was excited to have some verification that the transparency of the fairies, et al., is due to their density/dimension, as I had come to deduce. I also liked knowing that the woman who heard the elves eventually saw some of them.
