Hi,

did anyone see the article in the Courier Mail (page 37 of 8-9 November)?

It says 'Child Safety workers flee"

well anyone with half a brain would flee once they realised what was involved with working for the department.

I've said before it wouldn't be a good look to have it on your CV that you once worked as a CSO for the Department of child Safety.

Apparently 852 full time workers quit their jobs in 2007 - 2008 period of time. This compares to 536 for the previous year. It is a significant rise in numbers.

I would hazzard a quess at saying it is the ethical people who are leaving in droves. The unethical ones would probably like the power and stay on. And in one of the very corrupt office I know of I am fully aware of some very corrupt officers who have been there for a number of years.

See it isn't just toxic problems in which the department handles itself there is also toxic problems in the way it manages staff.

We need some ex CSO's to confirm this on here.
