So anyway back to my story.

So after I finished my psych. training it meant that I had around 4 and half years training.

I know for a fact that I would not have had the confidence (professionally) to go out and make judgements on people's mental health status only 6 months after this training.
After my training I went and worked at Rosemount which was then the mental health units in part of the Royal Brisbane Hospital. It was appalling and very run down.

Now go forward 12 years later to my own docs story -

So here I had a newly out CSO (6 mnths from completion of her training to coming to my house) who decided that I was mentally unwell.
then she went to great lengths to lie and prove that I was mad. But unfortunately I have evidence from a group of professionals in mental health that knew me very well from the past 5 years or so before she ever met me for that brief 40 minute interview.

The CSO who interviewed me had little idea of what she was doing. If I was mad then then I am mad now.

Get my point?

And there is loads of these new CSO's running all over this state of Queensland calling the shots on families lives with devestating effects.

To ad to Jutice Wood's report they need to have trained professional in that chosen area (in my case mental health) who can properly assess the client then and there.

Hey docs would you like to employ me as a mental health/ drug & alcohol specialist? ha ha ha.

So I am the mandatoy reporter who had a notification put on my child.
That is my claim to fame.

Mind you in reality I would be extremely cautious before I ever put in a mandatory report on anyone.
And hope I am never in that awful position whereby I have to do this.

Last word: be careful of mandatory reporting. You don't see what the outcome is and it isn't always in the child's best interest.
